I created Discover Milan because I believe free time is sacred. I believe that each and everyone deserves a taste of la dolce vita, to slow down and take full advantage of their travels, to truly get to know the people, and the culture of the destinations they visit, to have fun, to learn and to to grow.
Discover Milan is a must-have handbook for an authentic Italian experience. Order today and let me help you create your own enchanted experiences with this captivating city!
for the things we do
“I purchased this book to use on my recent trip to Europe. I had a few days in Milan, and as this was my second time to the city, I wanted to check out the less touristy spots. This guide book, written by a local, was just what I needed to set me on my path of exploration. I ate gelato and panzerotti, drank coffee and wandered through incredible neighborhoods. In most places I was the only non-tourist around (based my observation that I was the only one holding a guidebook ;) Yes, the Duomo is iconic (and beautiful), but there is so much more to see and taste and feel in Milan. Using this guide I felt like I was let in on a secret that the city was sharing with me, which made my trip just that much more exhilarating.
Overall: if you are visiting Milan for the first time, or for the 500th, check out this guide. I'm sure you will find something in here for you to discover!”

"Recently, we came back thanks to a fun blog tour organized by the beautiful inside-and-out Thea, founder and thinker of unique travel experiences in Milan, Doing Italy.
Thea was determined to show us a different side to a city that she herself has called home for over 10 years and carries an incredible personal passion for this underrated city. This was a weekend about introducing us to interesting places, entrepreneurs with passion, and just generally doing something a little different which is the lifeblood of Doing Italy’s project.
Keep in mind that Doing Italy’s experiences change with every customer’s wishes and range from multi-day tours to day itineraries. This is just a taster of what you could do on a customized itinerary with Thea who will make sure that you fall in love with her Italy, one of interesting people; makers, artisans, passionate foodies and much more." "Just wanted to say thanks again for helping so much with the tour for Alex and CJ. They both loved it, and keep making me hungry, and wanting to go to Italy. Thank You!"
"...Other than visiting major sites, you’ll have the chance to see quaint spots and little gems. Plus to live some private experiences (a dinner with a private chef or a cruise along Lago di Como) or surprising experiences (having picnic on the rooftops like we did or making cheese with your hands at a farmstead – I’d like that!). Some of the experiences will be kind of chic, to let you dive into the Italian dolce vita. Others will be intended to mingle in Italians’ everyday picturesque life. Moreover you’ll get in touch with locals, with their uniqueness and quirkiness." (Read more here)
