Booking Terms and Conditions

 

Thank you for choosing to book with Doing Italy, LLC, owner of all advertised itineraries found on our website (herein referred to as “Doing Italy” or “the Company”). We are registered in the State of Florida.                                                                                                        

By making this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.                                                                                                                    

At this time, we are not licensed to sell our travel services to residents of the states of California, Iowa, Hawaii, and Washington.

 

Deposit Requirement and Final Payment

An initial deposit of 30-40% of the total price is required when booking a tour to Italy with Doing Italy. Such deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Payment of the balance is due no less than 30 days prior to departure, unless otherwise stated. If full payment is not received by the applicable due date, Doing Italy may, at its sole discretion, change the rate payable for the booking, or treat the booking as cancelled and retain the deposit paid on booking as a cancellation fee. If a booking is made less than 30 days before the departure date, then the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.                                                                                                                                    

Booking can be done online through our secure online booking system. We accept debit card or credit cards (AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Diners). We may require you to send us a confirmation copy of your credit card receipt.

 

Prices, Surcharges and Taxes

All fares displayed on the Company’s websites are for information purposes and are subject to change at any time, due to unexpected or unplanned fluctuations in global exchange markets, increases in transportations costs, fuel costs, dues, taxes or other government fees which impact the price of the applicable products or services provided by Doing Italy. Upon learning of the necessity to impose a surcharge in accordance with this section, Doing Italy will provide notice to you as soon as reasonably possible. Doing Italy reserves the right with reasonable notice to you to withdraw any trip or part therein and to alter the itinerary or trip inclusions, as it deems necessary or appropriate under the circumstances. In case of events that are either unforeseen or uncontrollable and result in trip cancellation, delays, itinerary changes, or other adjustments, Doing Italy will use reasonable efforts to provide comparable alternatives. Any resulting additional costs to Doing Italy that result from such alternatives may be passed on to you with reasonable notice. In most instances, trips will operate as originally planned, but Doing Italy reserves the right to make reasonable alterations after the final itinerary has been issued. As noted above, by making the booking, you expressly acknowledge your acceptance of these conditions.

 

Airfares Not Included in Package Price

The cost of airfare is not included in the advertised prices.

 

Mandatory Insurance Requirement

For your protection, you must have travel insurance with a minimum medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage (US$100,000.00 for medical coverage plus $200,000.00 for evacuation), covering all applicable dates of travel with us. This insurance must cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses. Your travel insurance must also include coverage for personal injury and trip cancellation. You are required to provide proof of such travel insurance with Doing Italy before the beginning of your trip to Italy. Failure to do so may result in trip cancellation.

For your convenience, we are providing a link to one or more travel insurance companies we work with. You are free to choose a company of your choice instead.                                                                                     

If you are a resident of the United States with current health insurance coverage, it is likely that your policy will be acceptable so long as it covers you while traveling outside the United States. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY YOUR INSURANCE POLICY DETAILS WITH YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER TO ENSURE THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE SATISFIED.

 

Accommodation

Each of our customers will be accommodated in shared rooms (2 twin beds), same sex per room, except for married couples or upon express request by customers. Single room upgrade is available upon request at a higher rate.                                                                                              

Hotels in Italy are generally ranked in Stars and such ratings are usually determined by local government agencies or independent organizations. Ratings can vary from city to city and even between accommodations in the same city. Due to unforeseen circumstances Doing Italy may need to relocate your booking into alternative accommodation of similar value & style.

 

Additional Activities

During the tour booked with Doing Italy, there may be opportunities to participate in activities or local events which are not included in Doing Italy’s packaged trip. DOING ITALY HEREBY DISLCAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILILTY AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THE SAFETY OR QUALITY OF THESE ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS, OR THE STANDARDS OF THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR RUNNING IT. Activity examples may include, but are not limited to, vehicle/boat/aircraft trips, walking or guided trips, surfing, fishing, hiking, swimming. Events may include, but are not limited to, local festivals, concerts, and organized events. It is understood and acknowledged by each of Doing Italy’s customer that any assistance given by Doing Italy’s trip leader or staff to help arrange these optional activities does not constitute a waiver of this disclaimer or create representations and warranties on our part. All additional activities are paid for locally and directly to the supplier of the activity, event, or service and are under each customer’s responsibility.                                                                                    

Doing Italy does not sponsor or endorse these activities or events, nor can Doing Italy be held liable for any injury or illness or any consequence whatsoever resulting from your participation. If you decide to participate in these events, you do so voluntarily and are responsible for taking appropriate precautions to ensure your own safety.

 

Travel Documents

It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to Italy. This includes a valid passport and all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies. You must have a passport that is valid 6 months after the last date of travel. You accept full responsibility for obtaining all such documents, visas and permits prior to the start of your tour, and you are solely responsible for the full amount of costs incurred as a result of missing or defective documentation. Doing Italy does not provide advice on travel documents and all safety or security conditions and makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of any information provided on visas, vaccinations, or special equipment and you agree that Doing Italy is not responsible for any errors or omissions in this information.

 

Persons with Special Needs

It shall be your responsibility to disclose to the Company any physical or mental condition which may be relevant. The Company cannot accept liability for the unsuitability of any travel arrangements where you fail to provide such information in advance. The Company reserves the right to decline to provide travel arrangements for a person with special needs where in the Company’s opinion those arrangements would be inconsistent with those special needs.

 

Complaints, Claims, and Refunds

Refunds are not issued for any included activity or trip location that is missed or altered due to circumstances beyond Doing Italy’s reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorist attacks, strikes or labor disputes, significant weather event, government orders or any other force majeure event.

Anyone looking to make a claim, submit a complaint, or request compensation for any reason must do so in writing or email within 30 days after the trip’s cancellation or completion. Any and all supporting documentation to the claim or complaint must accompany the written letter or email. Any claim or complaint received by Doing Italy after this deadline will not be accepted or reviewed. Doing Italy reserves the right to honor or resolve these claims at its exclusive discretion. DOING ITALY HEREBY DISLCAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILILTY FOR ANY DAMAGES OR CLAIMS CAUSED BY AN ACT OF TERRORISM OR ANY OTHER WAR RELATED EVENTS.

 

Descriptions and Photographs

All pictures and descriptions are displayed in good faith. We try to maintain up to date information on any changes and therefore all details printed should be regarded for general information only. Doing Italy reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any tour and to use them for promotional purposes. By booking a reservation with Doing Italy, you agree to allow your images to be used in such photographs. These images will NOT be sold for commercial, editorial, trade, advertising, or for any other purpose or in any other manner without your inspection or approval. You hereby release Doing Italy and its legal representatives, officers and assigns from all current and/or future claims and liability relating to said photographs.        

You acknowledge and accept that Doing Italy disclaims all liability due to its failure to take photographs appropriate to every customer’s unique tastes or interests.

 

Cultural Differences and Drug Policy

It is acknowledged and understood that traveling to international destinations will expose travelers to unique situations and experiences that may be different than those you are familiar with in your home country. These differences enhance the experience and adventure of your trip, and typically involve cultural and social aspects of the region such as food, drink, attire, and local laws. Doing Italy staff will discuss these differences during your trip, but you also have a responsibility to perform your own research and act responsibly while traveling. Doing Italy does not tolerate drug use of any kind during our tours and strongly encourages responsible alcohol consumption. No one under the age of 21 is allowed to buy and/or consume alcoholic beverages during the entire stay in Italy.                                                                                                                                      This policy is in place for your safety and those traveling with you. We want you to have fun and encourage you to take advantage of the local culture, but Doing Italy emphasizes safety as a top priority.

 

Behaviour
It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not behave in a way which causes offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property belonging to others. In such circumstances, all suppliers (e.g. hotel and restaurant managers, transportation operators) and the Company have the right to terminate arrangements made on your behalf, in which case the Company's responsibility to you ceases immediately and there can be no refunds, no payment of compensation and no reimbursement of any cost or expenses you may incur as a result. Further, you will be liable to reimburse the Company for any expenses whatsoever it incurs as a result of your behavior, including damages to facilities, vans and any other means of transportation used by Doing Italy during the tour. Each of our customers is kindly asked to inform us of any damage he/she has noticed during his/her stay with us.

 

Applicable Law

The State of Florida law governs these Terms and Conditions to the fullest extent allowable. Any disputes in connection with a tour booked with Doing Italy or with these Terms and Conditions will be initiated in the appropriate court of law in the State of Florida where exclusive jurisdiction and venue reside. If a court or any other appropriate authority finds any portion of this document to be invalid, the remainder will remain in full force and effect.                            

From time to time, the Company may need to change its Terms and Conditions because of changes in its business, or in its attempts to serve your needs better. Doing Italy will use reasonable efforts to publish any changes to its Terms and Conditions, including publishing the current terms on our website. Please check back from time to time to review any changes to our policy.
