Lungarno Collection - The Perfect Stay for Your Wedding in Florence
I remember it as if it were yesterday: the curated rooms, the understated elegance, and the stunning views of Florence. But it was actually years ago, I was organizing an award/prize trip for a major Italian luxury brand, and their guests got to travel to Milan and Florence viewing some of the glitz and the craftsmanship that makes "Made in Italy" so famous around the world. We stayed at the Hotel Lungarno in Florence and I have to say it was the perfect choice.
THE LUNGARNO COLLECTION
The Lungarno Collection Florence consists of four hotels and one luxury apartment stay. The Collection is owned by the Ferragamo family, a family that has become almost synonymous with Florence. My impression is that this group of hotels are quite like the fashion brand. They are grounded in tradition, history, and superb craftsmanship. Like the brand, these hotels manage to be all of that and still feel relevant with the times. The five Florentine structures range in style from the classic to 1950s retro to contemporary so there's essentially something for everyone.
WEDDINGS IN FLORENCE
In general, weddings in Italy are gorgeous. But I think what a lot of people don't realize is that each city/region has its own style and personality. Florence is the Renaissance. The city center is cram-packed with historic buildings dating from that period: a mix of large piazzas and narrow winding streets that seem to lead nowhere. It's a city of the arts. It feels like there is some stunning statue waiting to be discovered behind every corner.
Perhaps because of its importance over the centuries as a place of commerce, the Florentines manage to be a proud people, deeply aware of "where" they come from, but also welcoming to the guests that come to visit their treasured land.
And obviously Florence is a stunning backdrop for those wedding pictures.
LUNGARNO WEDDINGS
What makes the Lungarno Collection perfect for your wedding in Florence is that it perfectly embodies the city. (I mean if you are going to get married in Florence then the hotel should feel like Florence, right?!?!). All of their hotels give you that.
There's the ballroom of the sixteenth-century Palazzo Capponi and the panoramic Terrazza del Continentale, considered one of the best rooftops in all of Italy.
And then there's the food (I mean we are in Italy). For example, Hotel Lungarno features a riverside Michelin starred restaurant, Borgo San Jacopo, to help ensure that the food is on point for your special day.
Plus, there's the incredibly professional staff working for Lungarno Collection to ensure that your day goes off without a hitch.
If you decide to celebrate one of the most important days in your life in Florence, I strongly suggest you do so with the Lungarno Collection. If you do, I'd love to hear all about it (and maybe even get to see a few pictures).
